Milborne St.
Andrew Village Hall and its surrounding grounds was gifted to the
village in 1944. It has charitable status and is managed, on behalf of
village residents, by a committee of voluntary trustees and other
members. The Main Hall is a multi-use area with a stage and an adjacent kitchen with serving hatch through. Good quality chairs and tables are available from the attached store and seating is available for up to 100 persons for concerts etc. and up to 50 for sit-down meals. The sound and lighting equipment, which is managed by the Players group, can be made available, and is second to none for this sort of environment. Double patio doors open onto a paved area. Curtains and blinds provide an effective blackout. The Kitchen is fully equipped with a 6-burner, double oven, range cooker, a microwave oven and instant hot water boiler. Cutlery, crockery and glassware is also available. There are Toilet Facilities for men, women, children and the disabled. The Committee Room, containing conference style furniture, is accessible through the hall or directly from a back door. It is available for smaller groups and can accommodate up to 25 people. Alongside is a storage area with a small kitchen and toilet. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hall and some hard-wired network points are also available. Outside there is parking for up to 20 cars and a children's playground including swings, a slide, zip wire, climbing frames and activity circuit. There is a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) with markings and equipment for football, tennis and basketball. A large grassed area provides space for football or fetes. On the upper field there is a walkway, wild flower meadow area and a cycle track. The Hall is Fully Licenced for all entertainment and for the sale of alcohol for consumption on the premises (subject to conditions). |
